How to Apply

As a potential international student, you will need to read and understand the International Student Handbook, which has been prepared to provide you with important course information. The handbook is a generic induction that outlines the obligations of both parties and the administration of policies and procedures. Once you have made your mind up, it’s time to get your application with the MTA Institute underway! Follow the steps below to submit your application.

Application Process

STEP 1. Submit an Expression of Interest
Students interested in studying with the MTA Institute in Brisbane, Australia, may submit an Expression of Interest and we will get in touch to discuss your enquiry more specifically.

STEP 2. Submit an application
Students can submit an application to the MTA Institute through an international education agent. Supporting documentation will need to be provided as evidence against course requirements such as English language proficiency, age, and any academic or work entry requirements.

STEP 3. Review of application by the MTA Institute
The MTA Institute will follow its internal procedures and review the application and the supporting documentation to ensure all course entry requirements are met. The MTA Institute may conduct an interview if required for any further clarification. The MTA Institute will issue a ‘Letter of Offer’ to the student on acceptance of the application outlining all course details and deposit and application fee requirements.

STEP 4. Agree and sign the Letter of Offer
You must read and understand the ‘Letter of Offer’ and other documents provided by the MTA Institute. To accept the offer, you must sign the offer and pay the deposit and application fee. You will need to send the signed offer plus a deposit receipt to the MTA Institute.

STEP 5. Confirmation of Enrolment issued
The MTA Institute will send you a Confirmation of Enrolment confirming that the deposit has been received and you have been accepted into the course.

STEP 6. Apply for a student visa
You will need to apply for a student visa with the assistance of an agent. You must advise the MTA Institute that a student visa has been approved and provide evidence of your approval. If your visa is unsuccessful, you should advise the MTA Institute in writing requesting a refund in line with the MTA Institute’s refund policy.

STEP 7. Commencement of course
You will need to prepare for travel to Brisbane and arrive in advance of the course commencement date. You will commence study at the MTA Institute with an induction into the course and an orientation about living in Queensland.

The select group of education agents have an awareness and understanding of the Australian International Education System, the ESOS framework and the MTA Institute’s international programs.
